Type2 Gear is run by Sean and Chris - two brothers with a shared love for long days in the mountains, whatever the season.

After reflecting on all the gear we’d broken, worn out, or modified over the years, we knew we needed to make what we wanted to see in the market: functional equipment that solves problems for people who rely on the things they buy.

Our products are designed from the ground up with durability and repairability in mind. We stay hands-on in our product development process - from ideation and design, to sampling, modifying, tinkering and testing. We are intimately knowledgeable about the products we offer, and are happy to geek out with you about it.
